My name is Howard Antonio, a registered member of the BACP (the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am an accredited practitioner in Individual and Relationship Counselling. I also work in the public sector with young people and families as a highly experienced guidance officer, mentor and family support worker.
As a counselling therapist, I offer a person-centred approach to therapy (also known as ‘client-centred’ counselling), which focuses on an individual’s self-worth and values. Being valued as a person, without being judged can help an individual to accept who they are, and reconnect with themselves.
As a counsellor I believe that discussing issues with someone who can offer impartial, non-judgment but compassionate advice can be useful. Discussion of these issues will help clients develop coping mechanisms that will ultimately free them from whatever challenges holding them back. I am committed to helping people explore their emotional issues and mental health problems, or simply help them with self-development as they search for a sense of meaning.
